Product Care & Quality

Quality:

We follow all US Consumer Product Safety Commission rules, including the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act of 2008. All products undergo third-party testing every two years. Our materials test below the detectable lead level of 10 ppm (parts per million) and well under the federal standard of 90 ppm.

Lead can never be fully eliminated from a material as it is a trace background element. Be skeptical of any manufacturer that claims their product is 100% lead-free.

Testing for phthalates in our wood products is unnecessary.

Finishes:

Maple Landmark guarantees its product unconditionally against defects or breakage. If at any time you experience a problem with any product, return it to us (shipping paid) and we will repair or replace the item at no charge and return it to you. Sorry, we do not supply "fix-it-yourself" parts; we handle repairs.

Caring For Wood:

For items that are defective or arrive damaged, please contact us immediately so that we may resolve the situation. For non-customized items you wish to return for other reasons, we will accept returns for refund or credit, if within 30 days of date of purchase. We do not refund shipping costs. Due to being made-to-order, we do not accept returns on customized items, including Name Puzzles; all sales are final. For returns or exchanges of products not purchased directly from us, please contact the retailer.

Product Care

Cleaning Your Wood Product

Wood is organic and continues to “live” even after it has been made into a toy or household product, no matter the coating applied to it. It will expand and contract with moisture and temperature. Improper exposure to the elements can irreparably damage wood. Water that is absorbed deep into its fibers and then dries too rapidly is likely to create cracks and warps.

If you desire to clean a wooden item:

DO wipe it with warm soapy water and allow it to air dry.
DO NOT soak it in water or put it in the dishwater.
DO NOT use or place wooden objects in the microwave.
